Erin Chan RP(Q)
Life’s challenges can be unpredictable, and Erin understands firsthand how overwhelming they can be. Having navigated family trauma and stepped into the role of a primary caregiver for loved ones facing chronic illness and cancer from a young age, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her practice. These formative experiences have shaped her deep commitment to supporting others through seasons of transition, pain, and growth.
Before entering the field of psychotherapy, Erin worked closely with children, youth, and their families as an art teacher. This creative background continues to inform her therapeutic approach, enhancing her ability to connect with clients and understand the deeper layers of their emotional worlds.
Since 2021, Erin has had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, and families on their healing journeys. Her approach is person-centred and integrative, drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She strives to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore emotions, process experiences, and move toward meaningful change.
Outside of her practice, Erin enjoys creative pursuits such as watercolor painting and playing the piano, as well as staying active by walking, cycling, and exploring local neighborhoods.
She remains deeply grateful for the compassionate individuals who once sat beside her during difficult times—and is now honored to offer that same support to others.
